A Nature Experience for Life

Get ready for some Elephant and Monkey Love

Tour description:

This activity allows you to walk safely side by side with the primate (monkeys). You will get closer to the real nature of a monkey’s world by being centimetres away from them.

Situated west of Hartbeespoort Dam alongside the Elephant Sanctuary it provides an environment where monkeys (primates) can be given their freedom in a natural environment. The sanctuary situated in one of the many Kloofs (Gorges) of the Magaliesberg mountain range provides the perfect environment for Monkeys from around the world.

The elephant tour allows visitors to walk side by side with African elephants on this 1-hour guided stroll through the bush. With keepers accompanying you, you'll learn about the biology, behaviour, and conservation status of these large mammals. But first, you will enjoy an exhilarating 30-minute elephant educational presentation before embarking on an exciting walk with an elephant in the African bush with 3 semi- habituated elephants.

Totally ethical and totally safe. Elephants are very well trained to walk next to you, which means the tour guide is also an elephant. You walk where they walk. An incredible experience that you will remember forever.
